One more to go

Paul is almost finished with his final exams, 1 more to go on Wednesday, bad news is he needs to study on his birthday, he turns 18 on Tuesday. His driving licence test is booked for Friday, holds thumbs he can pass first time, they are very strict and full of stupid things you need to do that no normal driver ever does. He is having driving lessons to learn all these silly things. We are busy arranging a 6 month course for him next year to do technical drawing, he is unsure what he wants to do, he is considering maybe applying for architecure in 2013 so we're hoping this course will teach him skills and help him make decisions going forward.

Clive only has about 2 weeks left in Lephalale, he is so looking forward to finishing there. He works 12 hour days, gets up at 5am, works all day in 40 degree heat and comes home at 6pm. All this for peanuts pay, he is an apprentice learning even though the company contracts him out as a skilled surveyor. He is looking forward to going to university next year, surveying is not his career choice. The flat we bought in Stellenbosch should be transferred this week so then we'll be able to do a thorough inspection as to what work we want to do there. We're a full time DIY team here, not a weekend goes by that we aren't busy with some project. We've been trying to finish off those little things around here before we start on Stellenbosch but also started another renovation in the lounge in the granny flat. Walls painted an exciting red and silver, carpet ripped out, tiles chopped out, floor rescreed because concrete was in such a bad condition. After Christmas we plan to put in new aluminium windows but for now we're planning to put in a laminated floor. We've decided to use this room as a games room with a pool table seeing as no one is living there at the moment, good fun for the boys and their friends.
