Study makeover starts

Our study or fondly known as the 'lego room ' from past activities of obviously lego playing is desperately in need of a make over. The room has become a dumping ground for all sorts of odds and ends. so the picture on the left is the before look, the walls are blue and matched the hercules disney curtains that are now history. The new colour is beige, nice and soothing and neutral. Emptying the room was a mission, everything has been packed into boxes and will need to be sorted out before it can go back. The cupboards were removed and have been installed into the garage. Now the garage is another story, I have inherited a garage from a passionate

handyman who owned many electrical tools, don't even know what they all do and don't enjoy even holding a drill, leftover wood and tiles from every project he ever tackled, and there were many of those, so we are simultaneously trying to sort through it. Every week I donate 'stuff' to the pavement and passers by help themselves. Today the pavement contains, old shelving, tiles, old carpet we ripped out of the study, old vacuum, glass offcuts etc. Hopefully it will all be gone in a few days. So to get the cupboards out of the study was a major mission of it's own and required 3 strong men. Opa Rien did a great

job installing it in the garage and we trashed the old broken shelving and bought new ones, all looks very good. So I spent the day painting the study walls, the door frame, windows and it's all done. Next step will be to laminate the floor, that will probably be next weekend.
