Clive has written most of his major exams already, there are just a couple left but they are spread over a couple of weeks so he can take it easy now. The maths exam was really difficult, it was a major item on the news that is how difficult it was ! Today Clive got the letter he has been waiting for, provisional acceptance at college to study surveying next year, so another tick off the list. Paul starts his exams next week, hopefully he can get some good marks. He is out tonight doing Christmas shopping with Jane, suppose you can never be toooo early. Clive eventually has an appointment for his drivers licence, only in February next year. Paul has now booked to get his learners licence for a motorbike, you can get this when you're 16, he'll be 16 on 29 November, but his appointment is only in March. We'll be buying a small 125cc motorbike once he gets his licence so he can use it for transport to school.
So lately the issues around here have been appliances failing. First it was the DSTV decoder in the flat, then a cd player and today a microwave. These days it is hardly worth fixing appliances so I've just bought new items each time. Funny thing is that my microwave here at home is 17 years old and still going strong, the one that broke was only a few years old.
Dan's estate is coming to conclusion, the distribution account was advertised in the newspaper at the end of October ( 2 days before what would have our 23rd wedding anniversary), it is now open for inspection and objections for 3 weeks, after that the lawyers will take over and do the necessary transfers into my name, so maybe by the end of the year it will all be done.
